Our First Steps To Sustainability

smoodies in a glass bottle

We started Smoodies with a very simple mission. To help do the world some good by helping our consumers stay healthy and happy. Our drinks are made with responsibility, integrity, and most importantly, love for the mission that we set out on.

We are a growing brand with a large ambition, and that ambition is to make a positive difference in the world and to our consumers. Keeping you healthy is a mission that we can only feel proud of if we simultaneously take conscious calls to ensure that our business is responsible towards the world at large.

So we are making one big change that will be the first of many steps along the way to achieving that ambition.

For the better part of 2 years, we have been serving you our drinks in BPA-free PET bottles. While our PET bottles are recyclable, there is no question that single-use plastic is ending up in our rivers, lakes, oceans, clogging drains, and harming the environment.

From the end of this year, 90% of our packaging will move from single-use plastic to glass bottles that are 100% recyclable and infinitely reusable.

What can you do to help us with this?

If you love our bottles, nothing would make us happier than if you recycle them or use them in your kitchen. If you’ve got enough of them, please feel free to give us a ring, drop an email or send us a message, and we would be happy to pick up the bottles from you.

Why is this good for the environment?

Less landfill, and more re-use

  • Glass is 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without loss in quality or purity. This means every Smoodies bottle can be reused or recycled infinitely.

Our Glass bottles keep everything good inside and outside

  • When you choose to drink from a glass bottle, you pick healthy, clean, safer, alternative. The crushed and blended fruit stays the way it was supposed to be, natural.

Hi, I like the effort in moving to sustainable and responsible packaging. In fact, I think you can collaborate with www.khalibotle.net and probably make this a symbiotic business to pick the trash and sustainably recycle after the reuse.

If you go one step further and are able to get back those bottles you could be saving some GHG as well.

But appreciate you shifting to glass bottles knowing fully well the logistics and other cost adders.

    Sunil
